Satish Mugulavalli spent two decades in networking and communications, co-founding companies through the years when startups were still a fringe bet, then moved to the other side of the table as a Venture Partner at YourNest Venture Capital. He started Built to Share because the conversations he kept having privately with founders, about the hire that almost didn’t happen and the ownership calls that followed, almost never showed up in public founder interviews.

He is now Founder and Managing Partner of Hissa Fund by Rulezero, India’s first SEBI-registered ESOP liquidity fund. He asks founders about compensation, equity and culture from inside the problem, having made those calls in his own companies and watched them play out across the startups he backed.
